Beta Gamma Sigma

BUSINESS

BETA GAMMA SIGMA was founded in 1913, and the San Diego State University chapter was founded in 1960. Chapters of Beta Gamma Sigma are limited to schools and colleges of business administration accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The purposes of the society are to encourage and reward scholarship, to promote the advancement of business education, and to foster integrity in the conduct of business operations.

Each April, members are elected from among undergraduates in a field of business administration who rank in the top 10 percent of their graduating class and from among graduate students in business administration who rank in the top 20 percent of their graduating class. Among the chapter’s activities are the annual initiation ceremony and reception. Annually, the society awards the Medal for Entrepreneurship and scholarships for further study in business.

The chapter advisor is Ashley Whitcomb, Fowler College of Business, Lamden Hall 419, [email protected]
