Pi Sigma Alpha
PI SIGMA ALPHA is the national political science honor society. Its chapters are established in colleges and universities of accredited and recognized standing that offer the prescribed minimum of course work in political science. Chapters receive into membership students of government, political science, public administration, and international relations.
The purpose of Pi Sigma Alpha is to encourage advancement and diffusion of knowledge and interest in political science among students by honoring scholarship and promoting interaction among persons interested in the study of politics.
Membership is open to students who have completed at least 15 units at SDSU, at least 12 units in political science, including at least six upper division units. In addition, undergraduate students must have a 3.0 GPA overall and 3.0 in all political science courses, all upper division political science courses, and all political science courses at SDSU. Graduate students must have completed at least 15 graduate units at SDSU, at least 12 of these in political science, with a 3.5 GPA in these units.
